I live in an apartment or townhouse can I still get DISH Network?

Absolutely. In 1996, the FCC passed a Satellite Consumer Bill of Rights, a law that states renters can have our satellite dishes installed in exclusive, non-common areas. If you need to modify your building or install your dish in a common area however, you will need landlord permission.

Why do I have to keep a phone line connected to my receiver? |
Certain features of your DISH receiver require connection over your phone line, plus, you save $5 a month on all dual tuner receivers. But don't worry, your receivers will never interfere with your calls, DSL, or home security and you'll never be billed for any additional phone service.

What happens to my DISH if I move? |
Before you plan your move, call DISH Network. They'll send you a new dish and provide you with a professional installation at your new home; all you have to do is take the receivers to your new home. In most cases, this service is absolutely free.

How many rooms can I set-up for Free? |
Under the current digital home advantage offer, you may receive free equipment and installation for up to 4 rooms. Please ask your technician for additional options at the time of installation. Additional installation and equipment fees will apply beyond the 4th television set.

What package includes the channel I want to receive? |

Can I block certain channels from being available on my TV? |
Yes. Our receivers are equipped with an “Parental Locker” feature to block selected channels from being able to be viewed. Call 1-800-333-DISH if you have questions regarding the use of this feature.

Is there a contract for the DISH Network service? |
There is no required contract for the DISH Network service but if you signup for a 24 month contract with qualifying programming you will receive three $39.99 credits on your bill and the initial $49.99 activation fee will be waived. You will also receive a Free Dish Home Protection Plan for 9-months.

Do I need a credit card to subscribe to DISH Network? |
Yes. A valid credit card or debit card is required at the time of sign-up. However, unless you request an autopay option, your monthly bills will be mailed to you each month.

Do you offer internet service? |
Yes. We offer DSL services through various Dish Network partners. Please contact us at 1-800-479-8676 for further details and to order this service. Online ordering of internet access service is not yet available.

If I sign up with Dish network, will the new changes in TV broadcast to all Digital formats in 2009 affect me in any way? |
Absolutley not! Dish Network offers our services in 100% true digital form with CD quality sound 100% percent of the time.

Can my service be installed using my existing cable jack outlets in my wall? |
If your existing cable jack outlet is of sufficient quality, our installers may be able to provide DISH Network service through it.

Can I order additional receivers/equipment after I am installed? |
Yes. However, there may be fees involved. We advise you to order the necessary equipment at the time of sign-up to avoid future charges.

I received my first bill, why are all the charges double? |
Dish Network bills one month in advance. That means, your first statement will include the first month's charges as well as prorated charges of the second month. All subsequent bills will only be for one month of service.
